Hi,

is it possible to use connect via a checkpoint secure remote client to a cisco pix?

Any help is much appreciated.

If Checkpoint’s client supports true IPSEC, and your PIX has IPSEC enabled and configured, it will probably work but I’m sure you won’t get support on it. I don’t know of anybody else using it. Can’t you use the Cisco client? I think it’s included with the IPSEC package on the PIX.

We have a Nokia at one site and a Pix at another. I've tried this and I can't get it to work. Secure Remote seems to get it's information from the Firewall when you put in the IP. The PIX doesn't seem to give it the correct response.

If you figure this out I'd love to know as 1 VPN Client would be better than two. Also I prefer the Secure Remote as it monitors connections to the remote network and then prompts for authentication whereas the Cisco needs more user intervention.
