Cisco 3825 - Monitoring Load

Hi,

i am using an 3825 for site-2-site IPSEC VPNs.

I know how i can monitor the CPU of the Router with show cmds and SNMP.

But i do not know, how i can monitor the internal Crypto processor or anything else for the IPSEC stuff.

I'm not using a network module for IPSEC, only the internal things which came into the router itself.

Best Regards

Sven

via cmd line: sh proc cpu

Same information is available via the CiscoProcessMib

You can poll the CPU percentage values through a Network Management Station and post a trap if the CPU % is over a predefined value.

Another method is configuring RMON on the router to monitor the CiscoProcessMib CPU % variables and post a trap after a ceiling is met.

Good Luck,

Tom
