@balaji, there are bugs in Version 9.16(2), having issues, so the recommended action is to upgrade to latest version from 9.16.2. so my question is whats the latest recommended version from 9.16.2

The latest is 9.18.X June released. Not sure what kind of bugs you facing, have you contact TAC, what is the suggested version.

i would go with 9.17.X and test it.

Thanks Balaji for the suggestions, no tac account , just a small organisation hence coming here .

But do you right to download the latest version ;

first I suggest reading the release notes : (see is the bug you mentioned was fixed)

@balaji.bandi @I think I will try 9.17x first as u suggested . Thank you . We have a third party who can download for us any version . Will have to just ask them to download the version we want .

as i suggest in most cases, take config backup out of the box.

give enough maintenance time to upgrade and rollback if any issue.

keep us informed how the things go

What ASA model have you got?

Hi Aref. I have 5515-X

Interesting, based on what I could see on Cisco website, you won't be able to download any newer version than 9.12.4 for the 5515-X. Are you sure you download the code from the right place?

Hi Aref , I didn’t download anything yet as I am still trying to find the best image first . Any suggestions are most welcome, reason why I came here was , after searching for 5515-x I couldn’t find anything above the current 9.16(2) besides what you mentioned above

We run 9.17, this version is very stable for our use so I would recommend going to that version.

It all makes sense now. If you have the Firepower 1140 hardware with ASA code running then you can install the suggested release by @Marius Gunnerud or in my opinion, you can install the 9.18(1) which seems to have a big list of bugs fixed.
