I am setting up a ASA 5505-X for a client and I am having an issue consoling in. I downloaded the correct drivers via Cisco and connected my device. I see it appear in device manager VIA com4 and everything appears to be working correctly. I open putty and double check the port settings. Everything looks good. 9600, 8, none, 1, none. Still the port will not open. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers tried hyperterm and nothing. Anyone run into this before?
I am using a windows 10 pro pc, putty, and the usb console cable that comes with the ASA 5505-X.
Thanks

Hi Chris-
A couple of questions:
- Have you tried a different boud rate?
- Have you tried another device (switch, router, etc)?

I have the same problem.
I tried with different baud rate.
I tried with different terminal emulation software.
In any case, the Rj45 consolle port works, the mini-USB does not work.
