An identity certificate won't import correctly unless the private key is already present. Normally you would have to do a backup/restore to get the private key.
When the certificate isn't imported then of course and other configuration sections that reference it will also be invalid. You may also have to do some other prerequisite bits like ensure the right license is active, the right boot, asd, and AnyConnect image (if applicable) are present.

dont cut and paste certs mate, you will be in a world of pain if you do, as your certs will not work (as marvin said).
I wuould be inclined to start up the asa, stick an IP address on and tftp or ftp the config file over,
or if you insist in a cut and paste; do it in chunks, console buffers tend to nmot be large enough large cut and paste operations
