CISCO ASA and JAVA

Hi

Ive got a problem launching the ASDM and java.  Now i know there is an issue with more up to date versions of java and the ASDM, but ive had a look

around and found that Java version 6 update 7 should work, and to be fair with the other ASA's we have -(3 more) it does but with one particular ASA it is about to launch the GUI after the software update then just hangs.  I can get into cli (probably time to get involved)  but im just wnodering if anyone has any ideas why its not working for this one ASA as its twisting my head !

Can you tell me the version of ASA and ASDM used, if possible a screenshot as well.

Hi Andy,

Has this ASA been up for a year? Have you tried accessing it from both the browser and ASDM launcher? Does it fail with both?

yeah it fails on browser and ASSDM.exe - however i can access the cli ok :/
