Cisco FWSM forced failover, loosing Cisco SIP 9950

We had to do a force failover from active to standby with failover configured.

Everything went fine except all Cisco IPT phones 9950 (Sip based), they reset. I have no clue why.

does somebody have some insight about the sessions that should be replicated and what kind of issues one should expect when doing a failover.

Hi Patrick,

Which version are you running? Some inspected protocol in newer versions have advanced tcp state handling wherein the data is bufferred for inspection. Stateful failover for these protocols are on best effort basis.
