cisco-ids ipv6 support

Is/will cisco-ids support ipv6 for command&control and sensing?

Cisco-IDS does not support an IPV6 stack on the command and control interface. An enhancement request has been entered for that functionality. IPS software version 5.0 will support sensing of IPV4 tunneled via IPV6

Correct conclusions?

1) for command & control interface there will be v6-support in the furure, but it is not planned.

2) for sensing interface there wille be ipv4 in ipv6 support in version 5.0 (any info on release date?)

So how about true ipv6-support on the sensing interface?

1) an "enhancement request" is a way for us to track that somebody is interested in a feature. This means that every time we look at doing a binary update, we will be reminded of the feature request and can prioritize it against other things we want to do. A lot of prioritization information comes from Marketing feedback, so I encourage you to make sure that your sales channel knows your needs. In short, its not planned so I can't say if it will ever be there.

2) correct...no dates announced yet.
