After upgrading from CSM 3.2.0 to 3.2.2 SP3 the automated backups from CSM increased significantly.

Old: 80 MB/day

New: 500MB/day

I did not fin any documentation about that.

Any Ideas??

Thx,

Peter

Under Tool > CSM Administration > Config Archives you can purges very old archives per device (for example keep only last 5).

That should alleviate.

I hope it helps.

Hi pkampana,

unfortunately not really ...

We have to have a daily backup with 365 generations to keep ...

Is there any known reason why that backup has increased from 80MB to 500MB a day?

Peter

Yes, if you have 365 backups you don't want to have 10 archives or more per device. You could decrease the archived config files that CSM keeps.

I am not sure why an upgrade to 3.2.2SP2 from 3.2.0 increase the backup size so much, it should not.

Maybe you accidentally left the install package of the new software in some of the directories that csm backs up. try to unpack an archive and see where the big files are.
