Cisco Virtual FMC Licensing requirement

Hello, I have some doubt on the Cisco FMC Licensing.

Trying to search around but unable to get the answer.

Our customer currently using Virtual Firepower Management Center to manage 3x Cisco ASA devices with Firepower services.

2x Cisco ASA 5525

Current license own by ASA5525

L-ASA5525-URL=
L-ASA5525-AMP=
ASA5525-CTRL-LIC

1x Cisco ASA 5508

They are going to migrate the ASA-5525 with firepower services to Firepower 1140 Threat Defense.
So I'm studying on the license requirement for Virtual FMC to manage the new FTD devices.
From my understanding, the control license is included when they purchased the Cisco ASA with firepower module.
The control license allow the Virtual FMC to manage the Cisco ASA's firepower module and additional license entitlement is not required [FS-VMW-2-SW-K9] (correct me if i am wrong)

In order to manage the new Firepower 1140 Theat Defense, they will need to purchase additional license which is [FS-VMW-2-SW-K9] right ?

Hi,

To manage FTD, they can buy TMC license which gives them full feature set
on the FTD in addition to the management license on the FMC as you
mentioned.

I am assuming you are using smart licensing?

if yes then log into the smart licensing portal and look for the following:

If this is present, you are all set. 

If you do not see this license, then you need to purchase it.  Each managed device needs a license.
