I have a Cisco WebSTAR DPC2100R2. It is currently running software version v2.0.2r1256-060303
The newest revision of the firmware I have documentation on is dpc2100R2-v202r1256-100324as
The new firmware is needed for this modem because of a security gap that allows malicious websites to reconfigure, monitor, and/or disable the modem activity.
According to the documentation I have found, the firmware cannot be updated by the end user (myself), and that the update must be requested and sent from the ISP (Time Warner).
This is my own purchased modem, and not a leased modem. This modem was commonly used by TWC around 2010 based on my research.
My question is if TWC or if Cisco is still able to send the update to my modem.
You can find documentation regarding the security gaps for my modem at the following link:

Any help advice would be greatly appreciated.
I just recently bought this modem and would like to keep using it as long as possible without security concerns.
