I have a few sites that have the pix firewall in a DMZ and I need to know if it is possible to use CiscoWorks to monitor and back up all of the devices including the pix's in DMZ.
Would it be as simple as adding the SNMP and loopback address?

You can add the PIX via an snmp accessible address and then use the read-only community string in the device credentials when adding the device into
RME 3.5 or the DCR (LMS 2.5)
You also need to make a device configuration to allow snmp access:
a. snmp-server host
b. snmp-server community
