I have several questions in regards to ARP.
Does clearing PIX ARP table break any current communications between interfaces (ex. LAN to MAN mainframe connection)? How would the clear ARP affect new communications attempting to be initiated between interfaces (ex. LAN to MAN mainframe connection) on the PIX?
After clearing ARP table on the PIX (for different issue) users on the LAN int indicated that they were intermittently receiving "timed out" messages when connecting to the mainframe on the MAN int. Other devices (internet router, IPS, etc were also booted at same time of PIX clear ARP command making it hard to figure out what may be causing communication issue).
When bringing up a IP device on the LAN that has a new MAC what devices would/should be refreshed to update ARP table entries? I am questioning if the PIX ARP table is the most appropriate or first place to address resolving issue when bringing up IP device with new MAC.

I don't understand your suggestion. And no, I maintain the PIX through command line only. I rarely use the PDM.
