I am looking to create an IP SLA to send constant pings to a remote device to Outside of the ASA Outside interface, send a syslog if pings fail, but take no other actions.
Here is what I got so far but I am not sure of syslog part.
sla monitor 100 type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho 10.10.10.10 interface OUTSIDE timeout 1000 frequency 1 sla monitor schedule 100 life forever start-time now

with IP SLA this is no possible. see the IP SLA is for if the link/ping fail the other rule kicks in.
why dont you use any other application software for monitoring example PRTG.
