I’m designing a multi-branch network using Cisco Secure Firewall 1220CX appliances at each branch, connected to Catalyst 1300 switches for local access. Meraki APs connect to the switches.
The goal is to achieve centralized, cloud-based management for onboarding, policy configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates — ideally without per-device SSH access.
Since upgrading the Catalyst 1300 models isn’t feasible, I’d like to understand the options for a unified cloud dashboard across these Cisco devices.
Questions:
1.Can the Catalyst 1300 be onboarded or indirectly managed through Cisco Security Cloud Control (SCC) when connected behind a Secure Firewall 1220CX?
2.Should SCC manage firewalls while Catalyst Center Cloud or Meraki Cloud handles switches?
3.what’s the recommended architecture for cloud-based management ideally or hybrid at scale (100+ branches)?
4.How are firmware updates, configuration pushes, and monitoring coordinated across these platforms when deployed together?
