Connecting to SSL VPN within Cisco ASDM

Hello Community

Can someone show how to connect to SSL VPN within Cisco ASDM?

Normally, I would connect with cisco's AnyConnect, but because Cisco ASDM is installed I'm unable to install AnyConnect, so would like to connect using Cisco ASDM

ASDM is not a VPN client, it's a management tool for ASA appliances.

You can use ASDM to setup an ASA appliance as an SSL VPN headend and you can use ASDM to stage AnyConnect installation files on an ASA for download to clients as part of a remote access VPN.

You cannot use ASDM as an initiator (client) for an SSL VPN.

Thanks for responding. You think that is the reason why I keep on getting the following error when to install AnyConnect (see attached)

That error is most commonly seen when your machine antivirus (AV) software does not allow the AnyConnect installation to complete properly.

If you have the right, please disable your AV and then re-install AnyConnect. Re-enable your AV after installation succeeds.
