Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade ASDM 6.2(3) F in FWSM 4.0(4) but after transfering new image file using TFTP and saving the configuration show version command is still showing older version of ASDM.6.1(2) F
Is FWSM reboot required ? which sounds stange to me!

No, a reboot is not required to upload the ASDM image.
Do you copy it to flash with the name of just "asdm"?
eg:
copy tftp flash:asdm

Hi Jennifer,
No, I tried copy tftp://server_IP/pathoffile flash:asdm then saved the configuration.
But after that new version is not showing in show version.

Can you pls try to place the asdm file in the root directory of the tftp server, and copy it as follows:
copy tftp://server_IP/filename flash:asdm

You might want to check if the file that you uploaded is corrupted or not.
Pls try to download the ASDM again from cisco.com download site and try to upload it to the FWSM with the newly downloaded file.
