CSM: copy access rule sections does not work, i.e. section is lost only rules are copied

Today we use multiple sections to be able to identify the rules that belong together. And usually we want to copy section by section to other firewall to exchange.

But the section itself is not recreated, only the policies are copied and we have to recreate the section and select the color!

Is this a bug?

How are you using sections in access rules?

Hello,

You can right-click on the source device in CSM's inventory and select "Copy Policies Between Devices". In the window that opens you can check Access Rules and then click Next to copy that device's Access Rules policy to other devices. This will do a full copy and maintain your rule sections, however the existing policies on the target device will be removed.

What I really need is to be able to copy in sections of rules and keep the exising rules. Not viable to remove existing policies.

CSM is very limited in that way that you even cannot inherit multiple policy templates or building blocks. Which I would prefer than copying policies.
