Does 5508-x support FTD image or have to install firepower services on asa image ?

We have ASA 5508-X and we want to use firepower services so i want to know that can i use single FTD image or do i need to install firepower services on top of ASA image as usual. 

and does firepower services support Remote Access VPN as it is not supported in FTD 6.2

Hello,

If you have purchased the ASA 5508 with firepower module pre-installed as a software module, you can run a consolidated image which is called FTD image. Or if you wish, you can run ASA and Sourcefire images separately.

You can check the output of 'show module detail'

What will be the technical deference between ASA+Firepower and FTD. i have both options so feature and performance wise which one should i choose ? deference between ASA+Firepower and FTD
