Editing extended ACE's -FWSM 2.3 on Catalyst 6500

Hello All, I am trying to edit an ACL on a FWSM running version 2.3(3), and need to delete certain lines (ACE's) on an extended ACL.

When I run : show access-list ACL_id,

I do not see the line numbers, therefore I do not know how to remove the ACE's that are not needed.

In version 3.1 there is a way to remove an ACE with a no command. Would this work with FWSM version 2.3 as well, if I just negate a certain ACE?

Yes you should be fine with this. Regardless of whether there is a line number you can just use a "no" in front of the ACE entry and it will just remove that line.
