We have a PIX 525 with 1 4-port FE + 2 GE ports. I am using the 2 GE ports for inside and outside interfaces. I use one FE port for the DMZ. When I ping servers on the DMZ from inside/outside network, I loose 2-3% packets. Sniffer traces show that packets enter the firewall but I never see it out of the DMZ interface and the DMZ i/f is 100MB.
I am a newbie to PIX. Is it possible to run etherchannel on the PIX? I have 2 unused FE ports. If not, what are the upgrade options? I looked at 525 data sheet and I may not have much choice other than upgrading to a PIX 535.
I am trying to see if other options are available?
