Firepower inbuilt Application

Hi Folks,

I have a client who does't have URL filtering. I wanted to ensure their outbound connection is not file monitored for Trend updates. There is an inbuilt Trend Application. How can I tell what this consists of?

For eg, does it include detecting update downloads?

Yes it is.  Deploy a rule within your control policy to either trust or allow it in the applications tab of the rule editor.  Firepower has an application detector already built in.  To find out details of the web app, /Policies/Application Detectors/Name <text box> and lookup the application of interest.
