hi,

i think you're referring to the ASA firepower module.

try using the CTRL+SHIFT+6+X.

see helpful link:

How did you login - directly to the module IP address or via session command from the ASA?

If you login directly to the module, you cannot switch in that session to the ASA cli.

If you login via the session command, the escape character sequence is 'CTRL-^X' (Hold down Ctrl, Shift and numeric 6 key at the same time. Release them and then press 'x' key.)

Hi Marvin ,

I logged with session command to the Sourcefire ,now I want to configure interfaces in ASA mode ,but no chance to go back ,tried the same one as you mentioned ,but it gaves me error

Can you open a new ssh session to the ASA?

Even I reload the ASA 5512

That's odd. It almost seems like you don't have an interface IP address on the ASA.

What about using console cable and plugging that into the ASA console port?

the console is the same as ssh ,it gives me same thing ,I have configured Ip address during the installation of SourceFire and it is pingable .

Plug into console and reload the ASA (power cycle) while logging the session output. Share that with us here if you can.

The ASA should boot into ASA software and not enter the sfr module session.

hi,

could you type logout or exit?

John ,

When I have type them it just push me out from session of ssh
