Firewall basics

Guys just wanna buy a small foirewall for a company and i was reading through few Cisco doco......th eprice varies on licence can someone tell me what does restricted and unristricted means........and what aabt vlan stuff.......some can have one ....a basic information would help thanks guys

UnRestricted & Restricted licenses were available in PIX firewall but this device is now End-Of-Sale. Standalone firewall options available now is ASA. We have various options available on ASA interms of licenses/product.

For a small/home business, usually customers look forward for ASA 5505, 5510 or a 5520.
