Firewall memory utilization

Hi Experts,

I am facing memory utilization problem in my ASA firewall (ASA 5520) with 512mb memory and 256mb flash, suddenly the memory utilization reached around 80%.

After analyzing the issue we found more idle sessions (around 10000) and the same has been cleared. but still the utilization not reduced.

Can you suggest the solution for the memory utilization?

You can save and analyze the 'show conn detail long' output. Are there lots of connections in the connection table that are idle for long? Are those really live connections? Find the top sources and top destinations. I've seen lots of idle connections due to a broken application that would not close the TCP connections.
