Firewall / VPN Hardware Suggestion

Time for me to finally upgrade my PIX 515E. This provides firewall corporate firewall and Client VPN Services for a user base of 150.

Looking for a hardware upgrade recommendation. Is is good practice to collapse both services into one chassis?

We have a separate device for VPN, but I have many clients that run VPN and firewall on a single device. Is VPN mission critical? What I would do is buy two boxes, set them up as a failover pair and have it do firewalling and VPN.
