FMC & CSM?

I have a scenario for you.

If you have Cisco 5500 ASA's and Cisco 5500X ASA with Firepower modules, and you want to manage all these devices and modules from one central location, do you require an FMC and CSM.

The FMC for all firepower management, and CSM to configure the actual ASA sections, such as service policies and access rules?

As of today, you would need both products for centralized management, as you noted. 

In the long term CSM will be deprecated in favor of a future version of FMC. However that is probably at least 1-2 years away.
