FMC Restore Backup File via Command Line

Hi,

One of my FMCs is stuck in "firepower system processes are starting please wait" mode after I broke the HA cluster to rectify an issue.

I think the database is corrupt, but I wanted to try and restore the appliance from one of the save backup files in the /var/sf/backup directory.

However, as I don't have WebUI access, I am wondering if it is possible to carryout the restore via cli/commandline? as I can still SSH into the appliance. Is there a cli command to restore a backup file?

Hi, not sure if you are still running on this issue, what version of FMC are you using ?

I assume you have tried restarting the services or rebooting via the CLI ?

admin@FMC:~$ sudo su

root@FMC:~# /etc/rc.d/init.d/console restart  

 root@FMC:~# reboot
