FMC Upgrade - Affect on AMP File Policy

Hi All,

I understand when untertaking an upgrade of a standalone FMC that user mapping will be affected if configured and used within access control rules but what happens if the FMC is unavailable to carry out file inspection with AMP? Is the traffic allowed as an unknown file or is it blocked?

FMC is just an management box to Manange FTD, the updates will be download and published to FTD.

so if the FMC not available, updates will be on hold, and you can not manage FTD and this will not effect operational of FTD.
