FMC

Why are we having N/A or manage under the chassis in FMC? Some will have the device's name under the chassis.

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Hello Balaji,

So, why do we have different outputs for the various FTD devices in the chassis column, and what do you think the correct settings should be?

Please, any help from anyone:

If you click on the question mark on the top right and select "Page-Level Help" you can get detailed explanation on everything you see in the page that you are currently on. For your particular query: "Chassis—For supported models, click Manage to bring up the integrated Chassis Manager. For the Firepower 4100/9300, the link cross-launches the chassis manager" Thus, for your particular scenario, N/A is shown because the appliance models that you are using do not utilize a separate chassis management / UI to cross-launch to.

Thank you so much for your contributions. In our case, we have no 4100s or 9300s, and we still see it. How do we remove it or apply it to all of our devices?

Oh I see what you mean now. That is strange. What happens when you click on the hyperlinked name or "manage"?

Thank you so much, Nspasov, for your response. When I click on the one with the name, I have an error message  "page not responding," and the one with manage takes me to the device interfaces (shows me the device port)

Mostly answered in this thread: https://community.cisco.com/t5/network-security/cisco-firepower-management-center-fmc-configuration/td-p/5259702

The link next to 1100 series is a cosmetic bug in FMC. 3100 series has the option to manage the chassis separately but only when it operates in multi-instance mode. 2100 series never has a chassis management option.

@Marvin Rhoads Thank you so much.
