I would like to find out what is the default image that the FP2120 comes with when its purchased.

it comes with FXOS/FTD version  6.1.0.

Thanks, so this is the unified image with NGIPS features available on this version and i can use FMC to manage.

If i want the traditional ASA features then i need to reimage?

it's comes up with NGFW features with installation of either Smart License or Classic License and can be managed through FMC. Right, you need to re-image for ASA features.
