FTD out of compliance

Hello,

I have a question about if the FTD license is Out of Compliance status,

what is the potential impact on the license regarding the security updates?

Does it take the updates or do I have to fix the situation to sync the updates?

The feature will continue to work as configured but you will not be able to deploy and polices using the non-compliant license until that is resolved (either by removing the feature from the policy or fixing the licensing)

Do you mean that the update will work as configured on Malware licenses, but when I assign it to access control policy it won't work effectively?

When an unlicensed feature is associated with ACP rules, you will be unable to deploy the ACP.

Anything that was already deployed will continue to work indefinitely but you won't be able to update it until you either:

a. become compliant with your assigned licenses or

b. remove the unlicensed features (IPS, File policy (Malware license) or URL Filtering as applicable) from any rules that use them.
