If the question is regarding a 1010 or 1100 series firewall, it is a bug and is only cosmetic.

Which FTD model have you installed? In certain models there is a chassis URL option in the Platform Settings.

No, it is not a bug. There are several different models of FTD and some have separate management for chassis. You did not mention which FTD model you have and what version it is running.
The chassis URL is in some cases used to configure and manage the FTD chassis, but since the FTD is being managed by FMC and also depending on the FTD model, all management is performed via the FMC. If there is no option under platform setting, and without knowing further information about the FTD, it is quite possible the option to change the URL is not available for your device.
But this should not affect how the firewall operates. What is the issue with having the chassis URL there?
