FTD scheduled backup

Hi,

I have 25 FTD Cluster and I want to configure an automatic scheduled backup for every week. So I have 50 backup files every week. The problem is, that the new file do not overwrite the old, so on the second week I have 100 files, on the third 150 and so on.

Question 1. There is any way to overwrite automatically the old file?

Question 2. There is any way to send the FTD backup file to the remote storage, but do not store on fmc?

Thanks !

Hi,

1. I didn't find a way to overwrite the old backup files automatically.

2. You can configure a 'remote storage device' for backup, and then schedule FTD backup without choosing 'Retrieve to Management Center'

Local storage on FMC requires you to manage the backups manually. You can also log in remotely via ssh and remove the files using a scripted process.

By using remote storage as detailed in @betliu 's post, you can use a cron job or similar tool on the remote server to remove the files.
