Hi,

After the configuration Failover with 2x5545-X in FTD(Version 6.1),  i can not deploy any more, because I got this Error Message:

"cisco FTD deployment failed due to change in HA active unit. Retry deployment."

Is there anything wrong with Failver? i did not see any wrong message with Failover...

Could anyone help me?

Thanks.

Regards

Luping

Have you registered both the units to your FMC and licensed them?

Hi Marvin,

thanks for your answer!

Yes I used Smart Licesing for this 2 ASAs. Status is green...

I believe you need to ensure its already licensed and also read the release notes of firepower and FMC, There are some info i got from the link:

The Firepower Management Center cannot successfully deploy configuration to a Firepower Threat Defense high availability pair using an EtherChannel connection as the LAN failover link, and attempting to break the high availability pair may fail.(CSCuy73041)

The update to be downloaded is:

Download the update from the Support site:

  • for Firepower Threat Defense running on the ASA 5506-X, ASA 5506H-X, ASA 5506W-X, ASA 5508-X, ASA 5512-X, ASA 5515-X, ASA 5516-X, ASA 5525-X, ASA 5545-X, ASA 5555-X, or on VMware:
Cisco_FTD_Upgrade-6.0.1-1213.sh
Hope this helps

Hi Farhan,

Thanks for your answer! i solved the problem by myself. after readd the 2 ASAs into FMC, the deployment works very well. I think, the problem is that i install the 2 ASAs in FMC without licehse first, after I had smart License, FMC didi not change anything.
