Hi
We have configured cisco fwsm with below configuration for failover
failover
failover lan unit primary
failover lan interface FAILOVER Vlan7
failover polltime unit msec 500 holdtime 3
failover polltime interface 3
failover replication http
failover link STATE Vlan8
failover interface ip FAILOVER 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.252 standby 1.1.1.2
failover interface ip STATE 2.2.2.2 255.255.255.252 standby 2.2.2.3
i understand till this ********
how we create this failover group and to which its linked for failover and what is the use of this group..
failover group 1
preempt
failover group 2
secondary
preempt 5

You can only configure failover groups when you have active/active setup, which requires multiple context configuration. You can allocate contexts to failover groups. The admin context always stays in failover group 1.
