The End of Sale and End of Life announcement for the FWSM is here:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/catalyst-6500-series-firewall-services-module/eol_c51-699134.html

It indicates that the last date to extend or renew a service contract for the software was December 2014. With software service support ending in September 2015.

Those images were last updated in October 2013 and no new releases - including patches and bug fixes - will be developed.

Thanks a lot Marvin.

Good morning, please can you advise if 3.2(28) has been superceeded with another image or would a H/W replacement be required ?

There have been no new images for the FWSM in almost 4 years. There will be no new images or updates for that platform.

You should plan on a hardware replacement if you have a continuing need or changing requirements (need more throughput, more features etc.).

Many thanks Marvin.
