GRE PAYLOAD INSPECTION

Dear Team,

Please let us know whether pre-defined signatures will be able to inspect GRE payload in Cisco IPS? If not, Is it possible to create custom signatures to inspect GRE payload?

If its plain GRE tunnel, there is a possibility, but if you are using IPSEC over GRE then no.

You can lookup for the signatures in this link. Sometime the signatures are there but not enabled. You need to enable manually.
