HA on ASA 5525 and ASA5525-X

I have two firewall units ASA 5525 and ASA 5525-X with the same software version (ASA 9.15) and same licence Anyconnect premium. I want to setup these units as a HA pair. Cisco documentation says that the hardware units need to be indentical. Does anybody know if this will work or I will have issues? Even, if this were to work is it a supported configuration?

Hi Mohammed Shafiq,

Difference between ASA5525 and ASA5525-x would be that you are having SSD on ASA5525-x. If you remove the same they are identical then you could use them in HA pair. There would not be any issue. It is a supported configuration.
