OK Guys/Girls, Don't laugh!
Somehow I managed to lose the cover plate for one of my PIX 515 firewalls; Guess it will teach me to leave it laying around in the test lab!
Anyway, without it, it's a little difficult to fit anymore interface cards, so I would like to replace it.
For a start, does anyone have a spare one laying around they would like to donate? (hey, I've go to ask!)
Alternatively, does anyone know what the part no. is or where I can find it out from (I guess Cisco don't get many orders for them!) and where I could possible get a replacement from?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers,

Dominic,
You could try searching here:
http://www.partscloset.com/search.php3?BRAND=CISCO&page=1&searching=1&orderby=PRODUCT_ID
Or alternatively you could call Cisco direct, in either case I'm sure it'll cost you (but I'm sure Mr Branson can afford this!!!)
Thanks - Jay.

Jay,
Thanks for the link, I'll take a look at it.
I'd love to get Sir Richard to pay for it, but unfortunately, it's one of my own personal PIX firewalls, which I took in to work to have a play with in our test lab, but whilst it was there, someone wandered off with the cover plate!
I'll have a word with our Cisco supplier on Monday and see if they can find a spare one kicking around, otherwise, I'll just have to see if I can get one direct from Cisco, but I know that could problematical without a part number.

Hi Dominic,
I'll get you the part number tomorrow, as I've got around 10 PIX 515s on my network, and yes I forgot that Richard was a SIR (Knight of the British Empire.. SHAME.. he,he,he..but he deserves it).
Thanks - Jay.

Dominic,
Hi, sorry for the delay but have been out of the offic, basically I spoke to my hardware guys and they have said that you'll need to supply the serial number of your PIX to either Cisco (if you have contract cover with them) or your hardware supplier. From the serial number either Cisco or your hardware supplier can prvide you with the correct part, you should have a sticker on the back of the PIX (Bar coded sticker) with the serial number on it.
Sorry can't be of grater help then this. Hope you get the cover for you PIX.
Regards - Jay.

OK, maybe I am confused here but what in the world does your cover plate have to do with adding more interface cards? When you say cover plate, I assume you are referring to the front plate that displayes "Cisco PIX 515" (or whatever) and has the LED covers that give you the lights. Are we talking about 2 different things? Anyway, I don't know of any way that you will be able to get a part number for this part or get a replacement from us. This is not an order-able item. You may want to hit up your local Cisco account team and see if they can scrounge up what you need from their stash. Sorry!

Scott,
I should have been a little more specific, it is actually the 'back cover plate'. Take a look at Figure 6-12 in the attached link below:
Without this 'back' cover plate, the additional Ethernet interface cards will not be held in place.
I've contacted my local Cisco Account Manager and local Cisco Supplier and they are going to see if they can find a spare one for me. As you say, I suspect this is a non-orderable item, but I'll just have to see what we come up with.
