Hi
Is it possible to easily find the switch port a host is connected to from the host ip address. This host could be connected to any of the 30+ switches in our network. We have multiple VLAN's with routing being performed by a router on a stick. I really need an automated way of doing this as I need to track down about 50 of these hosts.
Thanks for any help or advice

Hi Ben,
To find out which port an IP address is associated with simply, view a 'show arp' to find out what MAC address the given IP address is associated with and then view a 'show mac' to see where that MAC address is portwise on the switch. Unfortunately, there is not an easier way on the XL switches at this point of time.
