CTRL-SHIFT-6-x shold work. Does it work on other systems from your PC?

You can have no or one IP address on an ASA-interface. But it has to be different from the SFR IP. Vevery common is to patch the management-port to the same vlan as the inside interface. SFR get's a free IP from the inside network and the ASA doesn't get an IP on the mgmt-interface.

Then you have to make sure that the PC from which you use the ASDM can also reach the SFR-IP.

Hey Karsten,

I would like isolate the management ASA different the inside interface. let's me explain.

The interface inside is juste interco L3 with another Firewall,  the mgmt 0/0 is another vlan for example 172.69.0.0 (vlan management)

it's recommanded?

What's version ASDM recommanded with W10 and ASA 9.5 ?

For the CTRL-SHIT-6-X do not function .....  what's the utility program ssh use ?

Best regard,

Hi,

The post is very old, but it's worth it to mention that to exit from session sfr console you have to do ctrl+shift+6 and then release the buttons and finally press x. In other words to exit you have to do two steps, first ctrl+shift+6 and the second step is to press x.

Kind regards

Aref

thanks bro it works

Awesome, this helps!!

Assuming you have entered the ASA cli via in-band cli (and not via a terminal server), then "Ctrl-Shift-6, x " (hold down Ctrl, shift and 6 keys, release them and then press the 6 key) is the escape sequence.

If that's not working for you can you share exactly what you get via screen capture or session log?

To use ASDM to manage a FirePOWER service module you need to connect ASDM to an ASA address configured for management (can be the management 0/0 interface of any other one) and your client running ASDM must also be able to reach the address configured on the FirePOWER module (address as confirmed by "show module sfr detail" from the ASA cli). The FirePOWER module will always use the ASA management interface. ASA management can optionally use it. If both are using it, they must be on the same subnet and plugged into a switch access port (or directly to your PC) as the interface does not support trunking.
