How to install ISE application through vKVM after firmware v. 4.1

Hello,

I use vKVM to install ISE Application on SNS36xx appliances, but after firmware upgrade to version 4.1(3m) I can't use java driver for ISO mapping in vKVM (removed since version 4.1) and I need an advice, how to install ISE with the total useless HTML5 driver now.

I can map the image, start installation, but after some random time (between few minutes and 1 hour) the KVM console becomes green with "no connection" banner and I have to start the installation from 0.

2020 I have had the same issue, after a lot of tries, tears and troubleshooting I managed to finish some servers (yes, it is also possible), then asked my colleagues about this issue and got advice to use java driver; with this advice I finished all servers in few hours.

I don't know whenever the developers tried to install ISE application with HTML5 driver for KVM or not (apparently not),  because it is some kind of torture. You can disclose network as root cause,  because a) I'm responsible for it and I know all reports, tickets, issues etc. and b) I checked that path multiple times (low latency, high bandwidth, very stable, no packet loss and so on)

Do you have any idea, how can I install ISE Application now? I have a storage server with (s)FTP / SCP / TFTP services running, maybe I can use it? (Also I have network drive, but behind a firewall - probably it is possible to allow this connection, but in that case it is better to ask someone to use USB stick)

Do you have any advice for me?

Thanks

Hi, I have the right answer to my question now, so if someone has the same question - short answer is: not at all, vKVM is broken and you have very small (lim—>0) chance for success.

I did a downgrade to a firmware version with Java, but wasn’t successful also. Last time I was able to install ISE application with Java it was version 2.2. Any future version wasn’t successful, with HTML5 I was never successful.
