How to upgrade license

Hello All,

I received a license file from Cisco for IDS MC 1.2 and Security Monitor 1.2 on CiscoWorks 2.2. How do I apply the new license file? I have already browsed CiscoWorks but can't find any options to do this. I ran the installation for ver. 1.2.3 but still gives me a license error when I lauch IDS MC and Monitor. Please advise. Thanks

There's not really a specific license file for IDS MC. What you received is a VMS licence for "x" number of devices, this allows you to then use IDS MC and add that number of sensors into it.

In the VMS GUI, go under VMS - Administration - Common Services - Licensing Information, add your license file in here and hit Update and that should be it.
