If you want to upgrade your 4215 and retain your current configuration:
1. Make sure you are running 4.1(1) or later software on your sensor. If you are running 4.0(x), you must first upgrade to 4.1(1) or later before applying any 5.x updates.
(IDS-K9-min-4.1-1-S47.rpm.pkg)
2. Install the 5.0(1) Major Update.
(IPS-K9-maj-5.0-1-S149.rpm.pkg)
3. Install the 5.0(2) Service Pack
(IPS-K9-sp-5.0-2.pkg)
4. Install the latest Signature Update.
(currently IPS-sig-S160-minreq-5.0-1.pkg)
If you want to completely re-image your 4215, and discard all current configuration settings, you can install the 5.0(2) system image.
1. Be sure to update your BIOS to 5.1.7 using IDS-4215-bios-5.1.7-rom-1.4.bin if you have not done so already.
2. Then boot to ROMMON and install (TFTP-boot) the 4215 system image (IPS-4215-K9-sys-1.1-a-5.0-2.img).
3. Finally, install the latest Signature Update.
