Any negative implication if same interface will be used for management and sniffing ?

That configuration is not supported. The sensor itself will attempt to prevent that configuration.

In version 4.1 there were even different interface drivers for the management interfaces on some platforms. In version 5.0 the drivers are generally the same, but the settings for the driver could differ between the management interface and the monitoring interface.
