IDSM-II line cards and service password

Hi,

I have inherited support of some IDSM-II line cards from a previous service provider.  I do not have details of the service account password!

Is there any way to reset the service account password?

Hi Liam. If you have access to an administrator account, you can reset/change the Service Account's password as such:

sensor# conf t

sensor(config)# password service

Enter new login password : ********

Re-enter new login password : ********

Replace "service" with the actual Service Account's name.

If you do not have access to either an administrator account or the Service Account, then you will probably need to make use of the Password Recovery feature to re-gain access.
