Oh please somebody help. My database has grown way to big. My drive space is full. Is there some where I can delete my database? Is there some place I can tell IDSMC to save on its database on my D drive instead of my C drive? I am desperate. Please somebody help.

I have attached a screen shot of the log in question. I cannot get them to shrink or prune. I have tried removing them and my IDSMC does not even start up any more. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

For those of you that want to know here you go. Also this assumes that cisco works is installed in the C:/Program Files dir. and you are using VMS 2.0

1. Navagte to the following location Via CMD prompt.

C:/program files/CSCOpx/MDC/bin/ids

2. Issue command "IdsAlarms -d -z" and wait about 30min to an hour. You will know it is done when you are back to the C:/program files/CSCOpx/MDC/bin/ids command prompt again.

3. Issue the command "net stop crmdmgtd" and Wait till Cisco Works stops

4. Iusse the command "IdsDbCompact -r" Wait another 30min to an hour for this to complete. You will know it is done when you are back to the C:/program files/CSCOpx/MDC/bin/ids command prompt again.

(note; if you dont have room on the hard drive you might need to specify a path to another drive see url http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/mon_sec/secmon12/ug/ch07.htm#131294 )

5. Issue the command "net start crmdmgtd" and Wait till Cisco Works starts.

6. Log into cisco works then go to ServerConfig>Admin>Process Management>Start Process and click on the radio button next to system and click finish.
