Insert a access-list rule

Hi,

If I need to add a new rule in the middle of an exist ACL, do I have to re-write the whole ACL? Can I just add this rule to the right place based on access-list sequence number?

If you are running 6.3 code, you can add access-list at any position you want. This can be done using "line no." in the access-list command. For eg. I can use following command to add access-list at porion 10 in the existing ACL of 20 lines:

access-list 101 line 10 permit ip any any
