Hi,

I have two ASA in my office. One is new 5505 and other is ASA5510(old). Both are connected to ISP router in our side. ASA5505 is used only for a VPN connection with our client. But the internet getting disconnected in this ASA. But there was no proplem for 5510 which is used for internal network also.

Could you please suggest one way to solve this issue.?

Thanks

Vipin

Please share a topology diagram with ip address to understand how they are connected.

So ASA 5505 is used only for VPN, how do you come to the conclusion that the Internet is down? What do you mean by the internet is down? you can't establish a VPN connection from this ASA 5505? Are you able to ping the internet from this ASA?

Hi,

Please see the topology. PAT is enabled. VPN is configured to the clients office. I am able to ping to clients machines.

I connected my PC to this ASA5505. But internet is getting disconnected once in while. is there any problem with two ASAs using same gateway(ISP)?

Thanks

I wouldn't think there will be any problem with the 2 ASAs using the same gateway ISP because both have different IP Addresses.

However, the LAN subnet on the inside interface of both ASA, are they connected to the same network, or completely different network?

Hi,

Jennifer will definitely be able to help you better, but incase of you are sure that internet from ASA5505 taking hit,

I would check the physical connections. (Cable from ASA5505 to Service provider router). I have the similar setup (5505 running ezvpn to HQ than l2l tunnel) with seperate data & voice tunnels from one of our remote offices (sharing one ISP connection) and never had any issues.
